Zialena Winery

Zialena Winery has roots in Alexander Valley dating back to the early 1900s when Giuseppe Mazzoni immigrated from Italy and became a grape farmer and winemaker. His sons, Fred and Jim, carried on the tradition and produced wine in the “Dr. Pierce’s” barn in Asti just north of Geyserville. As the winemaking operation closed in the 1970s, Jim’s youngest son, Mike, expanded the grape growing business which he continues to operate today as Mazzoni Vineyards. Mike’s children, Mark and Lisa, are carry on the family legacy as the fourth generation and brought back the winemaking tradition under the Zialena label. Zialena specializes in Estate Zinfandel's and Cabernet's from their 120 acre vineyard.
