Job Description
Job Title: Operations & Membership Manager
Location: Healdsburg, CA
Reports To: Executive Director, Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary
The Operations & Membership Manager serves as the organizational hub of the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce. This role is responsible for driving member success, managing day-to-day administration, and acting as dotted line support for the Stay Healdsburg tourism brand. The ideal candidate balances high-level administrative precision with a "hospitality-first" approach to relationship building, ensuring that our members receive maximum value and that the Chamber office operates as a world-class gateway to our community.

Key Responsibilities
1. Membership Growth & Retention
  • Strategic Recruitment: Identify and recruit new businesses to join the Chamber, effectively communicating the ROI of membership and the impact of the Stay Healdsburg tourism platform.
  • Onboarding & Success: Lead the orientation for new members, ensuring they are fully integrated into Chamber programs and digital directories.
  • Retention Strategy: Maintain a proactive outreach calendar to engage current members, ensuring high renewal rates through consistent value delivery.
  • Performance Incentives: Manage and track membership growth to meet targets associated with the annual performance bonus.
 
2. Tourism & Destination Support
  • Stay Healdsburg Collaboration: Work closely with the Stay Healdsburg Executive Director to align membership benefits with tourism marketing initiatives, helping local businesses leverage visitor traffic.
  • Visitor Center Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the Healdsburg Visitor Center, ensuring it serves as a premier resource for tourists and a showcase for member businesses.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and inspire a team of volunteers to provide exceptional concierge-level service to visitors.
3. Operations & Financial Administration
  • Office Management: Coordinate all administrative functions, including vendor relationships, supply procurement, and IT services.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage accounts receivable (membership dues) and assist the Executive Director with budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Database Management: Serve as the lead administrator for the Chamber’s CRM (GrowthZone/ChamberMaster), ensuring data integrity for all members and tourism records.
4. Events & Communications
  • Logistical Leadership: Coordinate the logistics for monthly mixers, "Good Morning Healdsburg," and annual signature events.
  • Digital Communication: Manage the weekly member newsletter and ensure the Chamber’s digital presence (website and social) is accurate and engaging.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in operations, hospitality management, or membership-based organizations.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in CRM platforms, Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite, and basic financial software (QuickBooks). Experience with Canva or email marketing tools is a plus.
  • Attributes:
