having weekends free from work to enjoy a work-life balance? We are seeking new members for our growing team of Instructors.

As an Instructor II, you will have the ability to directly impact the lives of others and your community in a meaningful way. Instructors are known to bring their special interests or talents to help create unique learning opportunities for participants.

Description
A day in the life of an Instructor may look similar to this:

• Providing supervision, support and instruction to one or more individuals in a
variety of activities and environments
• Leading and creating curriculum for a variety of classes, such as: life skills,
cooking, art, and self-advocacy
• Assisting individuals in daily life activities
• Working with and learning from a behavioral consultant and licensed psychologist,
to help create and build personal development plans for program participants
• Transporting and supervising job sites workers and/or community volunteers

Qualifications

Interest and Passion:
An interest and passion for working with people
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. College level coursework or experience in special education preferred

Experience and Skills:

• Good writing skills
• Good decision making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate leadership skills
• A physical condition that will allow you to interact and assist people with varying
levels of mobility and abilities
• Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred
