Art Exhibit: Seas, Trees and Vines

RECEPTION: Saturday, March 2, 2024 3 - 6 PM: Join artists Beverly Bird and Donna Schaffer to celebrate the show. Refreshments will be served. Sonoma County artist, Beverly Bird, presents Seas, Trees and Vines a collection of paintings that highlight Sonoma’s jaw dropping natural beauty. Golden Hour at Sea Ranch glows as the late afternoon sun shimmers over the ocean. Shoreline drama is captured in Sun and Fog a painting of Goat Rock Beach. Russian River Vineyard presents an expansive view of an autumn vineyard with late day dynamic shadow patterns. Working in oil, acrylic, or watercolor Bird brings the viewer in touch with the wide variety of local color and drama found in nature. “With the dawn of each day, one quick look outside makes me feel so lucky to call Sonoma County home,” commented Bird. A third-generation Californian, Bird has loved making art since childhood. Studying art through her school years, she earned a B.A. in Art from Cal State University Long Beach. After a fulfilling career in government, she began painting full time upon retirement. Bird has exhibited widely and is a long-time participant in the Art at the Source open studio program.
